Weekend updates (with apologies to Dennis Miller, Chevy Chase, and all the folks who've sucked on Saturday Night Live because they weren't Dennis Miller or Chevy Chase) are harder than not, since I'm not sitting in front of the powerbook even if I'm sitting in front of a computer, but it's a quiet Sunday and I've got a pot of tea going, so I don't see why I can't hammer one of these out.

Clearly I'm not going to get 100% on November, but out of the last seven day I've done five entries, and that's not bad at all. Missing two a week is a substantial improvement over September, after all.

It's a cold day today -- chilly, not quite winter but cool enough. We're reaching that part of November when sunshine means no clouds to trap the warmth, though that's odd. We broke the seventies earlier this week, in a late Indian Summer. That's couldn't last, but it was there long enough to be odd.

This has been a rarity -- a weekend with nowhere to be and nowhere to go. Just hanging out and drinking tea in the apartment. I got some necessary things done, did some shopping, saw Mason and Van for dinner last night -- that sort of thing, you know? I slept in today, but not too late -- really, I expect now to be later than it is, but it's not. There are Sundays I sleep until after four, and it's before five now and I've been up all day. Go figure.

It is pretty dark out right now, but hey -- it's November. In Fort Kent we'd have storms right about now. But no complaints.

Alaemon's writing goes well. I've gotten a bit sidetracked today with a few lines of fluff for the In Nomine list, but I haven't gotten the official, commented Outline back from the editor so I feel justified. Besides, it's fun.

And that's about it. Tea and writing and cartoons. The excitement of being me. More tomorrow.
