Which means I should explain Pentads. It's a long story. Literally. And I don't have the time today, so I'll tell you another day.

Another killer short entry, I'm afraid. Let me hit yesterday really quickly and then get back to outlining.

After work (which went all right) I had an interview and campus tour, which also seemed to go well. Nice guy, and a nice family. I went home afterward, caught a catnap, and settled to work. Music on, file open, everything fun and cool.

And the power went out.

So, I checked around -- the circuit breakers weren't the cause (plus, the whole house was affected). Heading out, I could see lights were out all over.

So I went over to the school to check on the network. We have generators and UPS backups for the computers, but when you have a power outage you want to be sure everything works. Which it seems to have. So the school was all set.

But, my apartment looked pretty boring without power. And according to the Dean of Students, on the phone, there were four towns out of power. And it was beginning to get dark.

So I did the only logical thing. I took my father to see The Phantom Menace, getting in late, after the power was back. He loved it. It's still fun the second time. Sit through the entire credits. Trust me.
